Just what is a “candidate” anyway?
It is highly likely that you would be visiting this website having received a call from a member of our research team or one of our consultants regarding an opportunity at another employer. You may want to find out more about who contacted you, who is Bill Trott & Associates, and just how did we know so much about you?
In our experience it is doubtful that you will consider yourself a “candidate”, and please be assured that we do not either.
To us you are an individual, with your own desires, ambitions, career goals and expectations.
You most likely are not actively seeking new employment, and do not have a CV prepared to attach to an “apply here” link! (‘Passive job seeker’ is the current phrase that is in vogue for anybody in employment who is not considering moving jobs).
By contacting you, we are presenting you with an opportunity to consider your options, consider what a potential move may hold for you in terms of promotion, improved financial position, greater responsibility or challenge, or maybe an improved work life balance.
The point is, we may know your work history, but we do not know what opportunities may excite or repulse you. But we are keen to find out. May we encourage you to have the meeting, or cup of coffee and talk to us about yourself. You have nothing to lose, and you will probably walk away with more knowledge about your industry than you had before.
